February 9th
I have been working on a book titled A Success Book for Artists. Saturday I met with friend Anne Vickstrom who is helping me write the book. We discussed layout, size, and edited our way to success.
After meeting with Anne drove to the Center for the Arts-Evergreen where I had organized the Ann Bunn Memorial Project. Ann Bunn was a prominent artist in the Evergreen community and passed away a year ago. I along with the Evergreeen Artists Association created clay tiles to be used in a wall mural dedicated to the memory of Ann. Pictured here is Catherine Connors and Sue Bittel working on their tiles.
After the Memorial Project I picked up my friend Gayla and drove down to Denver for an art reception held at Peter Durst’s studio.
February 15th and 16th
Gallery 821 director Tom Hoekelman invited me to show at his gallery on Santa Fe Drive, Denver. There are ten of my paintings presently hanging. The evening of Fbruary 15th there was a collector’s night reception.
Noon on the 16th I returned to the gallery to set up my easle and demonstrated my painting technique until 3 p.m.. Then drove an hour back to my home in Bailey.

The next morning I awoke bright and early to greet my assistant Kelsey Parks at my studio door. Kelsey is a tremendous help in the studio and does everything from inventorying my work and puttying frames to delivering my artwork to various venues.
Alas, here I am framing a new painting. It is Sunday, a day that many people take off from work. Today I am in the studio from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m..
