A Trip to Santa Fe

Recently my art dealer in Santa Fe e-mailed and asked if I would bring more artwork down to them.  The trip to Canyon Road Contemporary Art is a drive of six hours one way and nearly 700 miles round trip.  Though the landscape is beautiful it does tend to get monotenous and having somone else enjoy the trip with you makes all of the difference in the world.  I asked my good friend Gayla Lemke if she would join me for the two day trip.  Her answer, to my delight, was yes.

Along the way we saw two coyotes, a road runner, and a white tailed jack rabbit or snowhare (do not know which but it was big).  The weather agreed to cooperate and though it was cold, below zero in some areas, it did not snow or sleet.

While in Santa Fe we visited our favorite galleries located on Canyon Road, Gayla’s friend Rodney Wood, an art museum, Trader Joe’s, and an excellent restaurant.

All nine paintings are in the car and ready for delivery to the gallery.
